I love snail jokes. One of my favorites is,
“What did the snail say riding on the turtle’s back?” Don’t hurt
yourself on this one because all he said was, Wheeeeeee!”
So, you're asking, "What does that have to do with Christmas?"
With Christmas quickly approaching it occurs to me that we are
all trying to get things done at rabbit speed. Rush here and rush
there to get all those little details accomplished before Sunday.
I’ll let you in on a little secret - no matter how much you prepare,
no matter how organized you are; you will leave something out.
Even professional organizers admit that other people influence
the outcome of each perfectly designed plan. You cannot plan for
everything because you don’t have control over everything.
Don’t sweat it! The snail also gets to where he needs to go
faster with the help of the turtle. We all need help along the way.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help and if someone asks if there’s
something they can do to help; by all means, give them something to
do. They will enjoy helping and you will have less to do. Perhaps
you can even sit back and enjoy the day.
Have a relaxed Christmas, Brenda
